Reflect, Release & Spring Forward 🌸

Hello Corageus Friends,

Our Wednesday run ends here, but fear not, The Corageus isn’t going anywhere.

Starting next week, you’ll receive the letter on Thursdays instead.

Same voice, new rhythm.
A simple shift to give you more space to reflect on your week.

Speaking of reflecting, the arrival of spring reminds us that new life is always budding, moments after a long, cold winter.

That’s the theme of this edition: a call to reflect, release, and spring forward.🌸

One Big Lesson: Mother Nature Is Still Queen - Watch, Learn, Apply

Having small, curious children grants me the benefit of paying more attention to my surroundings, including nature.

I now watch small buds grow on trees and berries on bushes more intently. I notice how bare trees soon dress up, bear fruit, flaunt beautiful leaves and flowers, and bloom again for us to enjoy. It's refreshing, inspiring, and reassuring.

It reminds me that we move through different seasons too, and that often, surviving comes before thriving.

Just like trees lose their leaves and fruits, we endure harsh, cold winters, literally (February Montreal snowstorm, anyone? 🥶), and figuratively, in our health, relationships, work life, or finances. So it’s comforting to know that a warmer season of rebirth and new beginnings always follows.

That’s what the arrival of spring feels like. It brings an appreciation for the new life emerging, and a deep yearning to clean up, let go, and make space for what's next. As it is in nature, so it is within us.

For me, it means taking inventory of my affairs and shedding what no longer serves or makes sense. From habits, ideas, and beliefs to clothes and home items, some things have served their purpose, taught me what I needed to learn, and now they’ve gotta go.

This season, one belief I’m happily letting go of is the idea that I must know everything and master every skill before I can feel ready, capable, or worthy, especially in professional settings. The truth is, everybody is figuring it out at some level.

Imposter syndrome, who? We don’t know her.

This isn’t about giving myself a pass to underperform. It’s about letting my strengths and natural abilities take the wheel, while seeking out the resources, people, and tools that complement me along the ride.

Here’s what that looks like in action:
1. Know your strengths, then double down on them.
2. Acknowledge your weaknesses, then find resources to strengthen them.
3. Repeat this cycle as you grow, and watch your world expand.

The best athletes, performers, executives, and entrepreneurs live by this. They don’t obsess over their weaknesses. They stay in their zone of genius, and build the right team around them.

What about you?
What are you letting go of this spring?
What are you making room for?

📚 From the Bookshelf: Titles I’m Reading This Week

This season of growth has me thinking about creativity, voice, and influence, so I’m reaching for books that challenge and expand the way I show up.

  • Key Person of Influence by Daniel Priestley

  • Brag Better by Meredith Fineman

  • The Creative Act: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin

I enjoy reading multiple books at once. What’s currently on your shelf?

🔥 3 Takeaways to Carry With You

1. Growth requires space. Letting go isn’t failure, it’s preparation.
2. Nature is your reminder. Seasons shift slowly. So can you.
3. Clarity is courageous. Ask yourself: “Is this necessary?” and proceed accordingly.

Final Thought

Mother Nature is still THAT Girl.

Boldly Forward
